Our auto-locking turning hitch allows the Sportmaster to precisely follow each turn of the tractor up to 25+ degrees of swing around jumps, rails, or tight corners. The self-locking hitch enhances safety and reduces hassle when transitioning between arenas by automatically locking in place when lifted. When engaged, the swivel hitch functions like a ball connection hitch which lets the drag and tractor move independently, preventing the implement from washboarding the footing surface as you drive out of the area.

Reduce Compaction with More Precision

The base-protective scarifiers on the ABI Sportmaster give you precision, control, and maximum power to remove unwanted compaction from the riding surface of your arena. Available in a hydraulically adjustable configuration, these scarifiers enable quick and easy on-the-fly adjustment of the scarifiers throughout competition events. Positive depth control allows facility managers to pre-set conditioning and loosening levels, ensuring better consistency and precision in critical arena surfaces no matter who is driving.

Thorough Blending with Adjustable Contact Points

Two adjustable, offset rows of coil tines give you twice the number of contact points to the surface. The incremental angle adjustment on these tines offers operators the ability to fill in grooves and incorporate material fibers that have risen to the surface back into the footing. With the incremental adjustable depth control, you can pre-set the depth operators can go, protecting the base mats, and securing the surface quality in the process. In addition to daily maintenance, the coil tines can aerate, mix, and help to level the arena surface when set in a more active position.

The twisted-rod design of the Sportmaster bar roller maximizes packing and prevents trailing, creating a firm and visually elegant finish you can count on for your arena surface. One key benefit of having a bar finishing roller is the continuous contact with the ground, which enables better compaction of footing materials and enhances surface stability.

Control Conditioning Depth with Confidence

Transitioning in and out of arenas with varying depths and footing materials is easier than ever with our revolutionary “Flip-Stop” technology. When active, the hydraulic flip-stop provides quick, easy adjustment for wear, offering 8 inches of feed adjustment without you having to adjust each individual scarifier. For elite facilities that need various different footing conditions, this feature ensures better depth accuracy and base protection when grooming. Operators will enjoy being able to save adjustment time and money on replacement parts as well as precisely adjust conditioning depth between arenas.

Contour Your Footing Surface

Add the optional hydraulically controlled press plate to help firm and seal your riding surface. The press plate applies an even amount of pressure to help you smooth down and lock in your ideal footing consistency during grooming. By adjusting the press plate to the desired depth and firmness, you can create the exact footing finish to match various riding disciplines.

For An Elegant, Consistent Finish, Every Time

Depending on your specific needs or grooming philosophy, your Sportmaster can be fitted with an optional FarmFlex style finishing roller. One key benefit of using the FarmFlex roller is that the roller presses down on the footing material, sealing in the moisture to create an elegant, consistent finish for your arena.

Less Bounce For Better Grooming

The Sportmaster also offers the option of an additional front roller. By including a second roller, operators gain better stability and further reduce bouncing while grooming across the arena.
