Dragmaster Horizon

The first ground-engaging component of the Dragmaster Horizon is the high-capacity hydraulic leveling blade. This blade sits in a ground plane between the tractor and drag tires, providing superior footing leveling. The scalloped leveling blade sweeps away tractor tire compaction, cutting a smooth path for consistent bounce-free drag operation while maintaining proper footing levelness. The cutting edge can be flipped for double the wear life.

The rapid-set system manually adjusts all scarifiers to the same depth in just a few seconds. No individual shank adjustments, no hydraulics, and no guessing how deep the scarifiers are working. This system ensures a specific depth with physical stops in ¼-inch increments, providing peace of mind and preventing accidents.

These innovative subsurface cutting blades work from the bottom up, cutting parallel to the arena grade, eliminating 100% of all ridges and hidden compaction below the footing surface. If the arena does not have a professionally installed base, the Profile Blades will improve the arena by packing the material below, creating a quasi-base.

When used in tandem with the profile blades, the grooming rods provide the desired base texture for any discipline. Adjust the grooming rods to ride below the profile blades to create grip for rodeo events, or adjust the profile blades to ride just below the grooming rods for a perfectly smooth and consistent base, ideal for reining and Western pleasure.

The fifth and final ground-engaging component is the floating Finish Rake, creating ABI’s signature finish. The ½” thick steel floating rake features flared ends, is adjustable, and is split into two independent sections for a perfect finish every time.

The Dragmaster Horizon’s optional 340-gallon PTO water system is controlled from the tractor’s seat, allowing operators to determine water application rate while dragging. The brass nozzles evenly spray water before the drag, allowing the ground-engaging components to incorporate the water into the footing. An optional rear single-point spray is also available for high-capacity water application behind the drag.

A convenient optional spray hose allows for spraying into corners from the tractor’s seat and washing down equipment, as well as other facility watering needs. This requires the 340 Gallon Water System.

Facilities with a full training schedule often have a problem with footing buildup around the arena walls, spending hours of manual labor trying to manually scrape it away from the walls and corners. Using the optional Rail Blade attachment, you can make a pass along the edge of your arena to pull the footing away and let your drag evenly distribute the material back where it belongs.

The optional rail blade, equipped with a safety trip system, offers an extended reach to grab footing buildup directly along the rail or wall and redirect it into the leveling blade for redistribution.

 A second row of scarifiers is optionally available, and the scarifier tips are bolt-on for easy replacement once worn.

An optional push blade may also be installed in place of or in addition to the scarifiers for precision removal of tractor tire compaction ahead of the drag tires to ensure a completely smooth path.

An optional rear single-point spray is also available for high-capacity water application behind the drag. This requires the 340 Gallon Water System.
